Where you work
Borderless Work is remote-first. Our team works from home across Bangladesh, and there's no office to commute to. You work alongside our clients' teams in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia as part of their day-to-day work.
Hours and time zones
A full-time role is 40 hours a week. You agree your working days and hours with your team lead, and they include some overlap with your client's working hours, so you can join their meetings and answer questions while they're online.
Depending on the client, that overlap can mean some evening hours in Bangladesh. We set it up with you before you start, not after.
Your setup
Working remotely only works if you can be reliably online. You're responsible for:
- A stable broadband connection at home.
- Power backup, like a UPS or IPS, so a power cut doesn't take you offline in the middle of work.
- Your own laptop or desktop.
- A quiet place to join video calls.
Pay
Your salary is paid monthly in Bangladeshi taka by bank transfer, on the 15th of each month, to the account you give us in your employee portal.
Leave and holidays
You get 14 working days of paid annual leave a year, up to 14 days of paid sick leave a year, and the public holidays of Bangladesh.
Plan annual leave in advance with your team lead, so your client knows who's covering while you're away. If you're ill, let your team lead know as early as you can.
Probation and notice
New roles can start with a probation period. During it, either side can end the contract with 7 days' written notice, and at the end of it we confirm whether your employment continues.
After probation, either side gives 30 days' written notice. Your contract sets out your exact term and dates.
Client work and confidentiality
You'll see our clients' code, products and plans. Keep company and client information private, during your employment and after it ends. The work you create for clients belongs to them, as set out in your contract.
When you leave, you return any equipment we provided and hand over all work files, accounts and access.
This is a summary. Your employment contract is what applies to you, and it wins wherever the two differ.
